Edward Tweel, 84, of Huntington, died Monday, December 21, 2009. He was born October 15, 1925 in Huntington, W.Va. a son of the late Michael and Ada Tweel. He was a WW II, U.S. Navy Veteran serving in the South Pacific. He retired in 1986 from the U. S. Postal service, a member of V.F.W. Post 1064, American Legion Post 93 and a member of Holy Spirit Orthodox Church. He was also preceded by a son, Edward Michael Tweel and three brothers. He is survived by his wife, Tressie (Louise) Tweel; a daughter-in-law, Nancy Tweel; step-son, Floyd H. Moss (Mary); two grandsons, Joseph Tweel and Ronnie Moss; a sister, Mary Jane Tweel of Huntington and several nieces and nephews including, Greg and Brooke Tweel, Sandra Seiger, Sharen Saunders and Fred Tweel. Services will be held 2:30 p.m., Sunday, December 27, 2009 at Klingel-Carpenter Mortuary by The Very Rev. Father John Dixon. Interment will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday, 12:30 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Holy Spirit Orthodox Church.
