Posted by: Dawn Carpenter - Charleston, WV - Friend of Elizabeth and Max Feb 19, 2010Dear Family, It is with sadness I read the obituary today of the passing of Mrs. Smith. She was my DECA teacher at East 1972-1973. She was a wonderful lady. I so enjoyed having her for a teacher as she was more than a teacher she was also our friend. She was one great lady. Cherish the memories you have. Praying God will give you a peace that passes all understanding. you all are in our thoughts and prayers.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Your mother was like a second mother to me growing up. I have so many fond memories of her and cherish everyone of them. We had so many good times on the front porch and in your kitchen.
I pray that you and Max will find peace and comfort. I know how close you were and that it has been a long and difficult road. You were there for her and she was never without

I pray that you and Max will find peace and comfort. I know how close you were and that it has been a long and difficult road. You were there for her and she was never without your love, care, and presence. That in part is also a testimony of what she gave you in the way you gave back to her.
God bless, love, and prayers, Ford
Posted by: Ford Price - Huntington, WV - Friend Feb 18, 2010Dear Betsy,
While perusing today's paper online from Sarasota, I read with sadness, the passing of your Mom.
Know that I am thinking of you and the difficulty you and I now share of losing our one and only Mom.
The picture of your Mom is great. If I come across any old pictures, I will share them with you. I always remember your Mom by her voice and great smile. Her fun loving joy of life and deep laughter. Mother

Mother used to get the biggest kick out of visiting with your Mom and sharing a great friendship and common friends.
Though life has not been easy at times for any of us, the one thing we can count on is that we were both fortunate to have had such good parents and being able to look back on our childhood with many great memories.
On another note, the HHS reunion for '68 '69 70' & '71 is July 23/24. Let me know if you want more info.
Fran Main comes to Sarasota today for 5 days.
Thinking of you and our many shared moments. May peace and love surround you.
Love, Sherry Bobbitt
